Small Business and Responsible Sourcing
Frankly LLC · Effective 7 September 2026
Who we are
Frankly LLC is a State of Connecticut certified Small Business Enterprise (certified 12 June 2026, valid through 11 June 2028), independently verifiable in the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services CT Gateway Small Business Certification Directory.
Frankly is an LGBTQ+-owned company and a member in good standing of the Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Chamber, an NGLCC-affiliated statewide chamber, through 16 July 2027.
When an institution buys from Frankly, it is buying directly from a certified small business — not through a large prime with a small business somewhere in the supply chain. There is no pass-through and no dilution of the credit.
What we commit to
Preference for certified firms. Where a customer requirement calls for field services beyond our own delivery — cabling, structured installation, on-site rack-and-stack — we engage subcontractors in the customer's own region and give preference to firms holding small, local, minority-, women-, veteran- or LGBTQ+-owned business certification in that jurisdiction.
Named before work begins. We identify the subcontracting firm and its certification status to the customer before work is scheduled. Customers are not asked to accept an unnamed subcontractor.
Direct payment where it helps. Where a customer needs spend recorded against a small or local business in its own state, we will structure the engagement so the customer can pay that firm directly and we will coordinate delivery around that arrangement.
Reporting. We track spend with our supply-chain partners — distributors, subcontracted installers and service partners — at the purchase-order level, and report Tier 1 and Tier 2 spend to customers on request, broken down by partner and by certification status where that certification is on record.
Why we are structured this way
Small suppliers are often screened out of institutional purchasing not on price but on vendor-management overhead. Frankly is built to remove that objection: a single point of contact for sourcing, licensing, quoting and lifecycle management, so an institution can use a small business without absorbing the administrative cost of doing so.
